Saving Grace by Carol Bradley- a very disturbing look into one dogs survival and recovery from being a puppy mill dog with a global overview of the puppy mill industry. This book is not an easy read.
Merle’s Door by Ted Kerasote – The incredible journey of a man and his dog. Merle’s Door explains the behavior of dogs as well as showing the emotional connection that can be achieved between man and dog.
Marley & Me by John Grogan – A great rolling and romping labrador retriever leads us and the Grogan family on an emotional journey to discovering even though mischeveous, Marley is truly the best dog ever!
Kindred Spirits – Written by Dr Ken Shoer who is a traditional vet in search of alternative ways to treat our four legged companions. Very informative and eye opening, yet lovingly woven around his personal experiences.
Java a Shelter Dog by Stacy J. Lewis – an incredible story of one woman’s journey with her dog, trying to find a good approach to Java’s issues … their journey ultimately transforms both Java, and Stacy – her adopter.
Amazing Gracie – A Dog’s Tale by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff … A great book about how the gentleman who started up Three Dog Bakery discovered their future business while trying to get their anorexic rescued Great Dane to simply eat!
